Janet AlisonBROWN OBEAged 70 years. It is with profound sadness the family of Janet Brown OBE announce her passing. Janet was a distinguished Sergeant with Greater Manchester Police, a role in which she served with integrity, courage, and compassion. Her outstanding contributions to policing were publicly recognised when she was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE). Beloved mother to Neil, Vicky, and Charlotte. Sister to Alan, Brian, and Gillian. A devoted grandmother to Ross, Sian, Olivia, Emily, Jack, Josh, and Daniel. Janet's strength, kindness, and dedication left a mark on all who knew her - within her family and in the wider community she served. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of service and love lives on in those she touched.
She will be resting at B Jenkins & Sons, 4 Church Rd North, Liverpool L15 6TF. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday 23rd September at 1:00pm at St Stephen's Church, Belle Vale Rd, Gateacre, Liverpool L25 2PQ, followed by a burial at Greenacres, Rainford at 3:15pm. After the service, we will gather to celebrate her life at The Childwall Abbey Pub, Childwall Abbey Rd, Liverpool L16 5EY.
